What PKM-1 is
PKM-1 is a moringa publication and recommendation site, named for the moringa cultivar developed at Periyakulam, Tamil Nadu. We cover the crop end to end: cultivation, processing, quality, markets, research, and the products made from it. We also recommend moringa products we believe in, and when you buy through links on this site we may earn a commission or, for products from our own family of brands, a direct sale.
How we make money
Our revenue comes from affiliate commissions on products we link to, from products offered by our family of brands, and from clearly labeled sponsorships. Three things money never buys here: coverage in our journal, a favorable review, or a spot in our recommendations. Products earn recommendations on quality, sourcing, and value, and we say so plainly when something falls short.

The journal
Our journal reports on the moringa world with the standards of a trade publication. Every statistic, regulation, date, and price is drawn from a named primary or authoritative source, cited and linked inline. Claims that cannot be verified are cut before publication. Journal articles are reporting, not advertising: we do not promote our own or affiliated products inside article copy.
Use of AI in our work
PKM-1 uses AI tools for research assistance and drafting. Every article then passes through automated fact-checking against its cited sources, and nothing is published without human editorial review and approval. The standard that matters is whether the work is accurate, sourced, and useful, and we hold every piece to it.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we correct it and note the correction. Send correction requests through our contact page; we read every one.
Health claims
We report research findings as findings, with citations. Nothing we publish is medical advice, and we do not make therapeutic claims about any product or ingredient.
